Newness is all around me once again. New website, new work focus, new country, new blog. We cling to a dream, an idea, hope, of what might be. And so here I am again, amid the change, immersed in another culture and people, another place; it is still so new that I'm not quite sure yet where to point the camera.
The website feels great. It certainly reflects the journey my cameras and I have made to get here. Professional work and personal travel have created a library of images that tell their own story and the first few posts of this new blog will reflect on the past two years especially. Because when peering back through the density of that time I know where I'm headed. It is two years ago today on a crisp autumn day in Paris. Leaves ran across the Tuileries in the gathering twilight and the world stopped. In between there is India, there are children, there are weddings, there are films of empowerment, there is much travel and some special people, but most of all and at the beginning of things that brought about this place I'm in, is my dad.
So much between then and now.
